Live Sound

Adam has been doing live sound since the age of 14. He has run stages and been a staff sound person for festivals including Nimblefingers Bluegrass Festival, ArtsWells, FolkWest, and Big Branch. 

He runs front of house and monitors for touring bands, and offers workshops on live sound reinforcement for musicians.

Campbell Bay

Music Festival

Adam is the founder and artistic director of the Campbell Bay Music Festival, held annually since 2009 on SḴŦAḴ / Mayne Island.

Education

Adam teaches fiddle, guitar, banjo, audio engineering, arranging, ensemble playing, and music theory.

He has taught at music camps including Goderich Celtic College, AlgomaTrad, Gavin Lake Fiddle ‘Treat, and the Victoria Conservatory Fiddle Camp.

Adam offers instruction and programs for high school students, and is frequently a guest instructor for the Gulf Island Secondary School advanced music class “GISPA” on Salt Spring Island. Adam has also coached the Victoria-based youth string ensemble Coastline.
